In this Therapeutic massage, we incorporate various techniques, pulling from several modalities in order to create optimum relaxation, pain relief and a healthier & happier body. Each session is unique to each body and is designed to address the issues presented at the session. No two sessions are alike because we don't do routines.
Deep Tissue uses long, slow strokes and deep pressure, often using forearms, elbows and soft fists to create pressure that goes beyond the superficial layers of skin, fascia and muscle. This is especially good for people with chronic soft tissue damage, pain, and postural restrictions. This can be mildly uncomfortable in sensitive or tense areas of the body, but ultimately is exceptionally effective in providing relief.
Combining both gentle & firm pressures, this session will help alleviate aches & pains in your ever-changing pregnant body, while helping you and your baby feel complete relaxation and relief! You will be side-lying and propped up with bolsters for optimum comfort.
Prenatal Partner Workshop
This is a unique opportunity to work in true partnership during pregnancy. It's designed as a personal massage lesson for your partner to learn how to address common discomforts related to pregnancy, so you can get a massage at home everyday! You'll enjoy a full prenatal massage while your partner learns how to gain confidence in his/her touch and both will learn important anatomy tips that pertain to your pregnant body. This is a 75 min session.
Ashi means Foot and Atsu means pressure. It is a barefoot massage technique using deep compression strokes that glide over the body. This modality offers effective relaxation and soft tissue release to the client who enjoys extra DEEP pressure or is larger/taller than the therapist
CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system and complements the body's natural healing process.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
MLD is done using mild and gentle flushing strokes which encourage blood and lymph upwards towards the heart. This is useful for clients who experience swelling or edema, who are post-surgical and looking to speed up the healing process, as well as people wanting to boost the immune system's natural defense. This can be built into a more traditional massage combining both circulatory and musculoskeletal improvement.
